He is the second richest person according to the Forbes. And he has a total networth of $ 194 billion. He hold the first position from 2014 to 2020 after that Elon musk over take and hold the position of number 1 in 2020. At the end of the year Jeff Bezos gain his wealth and again he back to his position.

Did  you ever thought that these  billionaires can end the poverty ?

Every 8 out of 10 people believed that billionaires world wide should help and end the poverty, inequality and the host of global problems. 

Surely Jeff Bezos can most of his $200 billion to the millions to the malnourished in Africa and still can lead a luxurious lifestyle.

So, why doesn't he ?

Contrary is that most of the people think most of his Wealth isn't liquid.

This means it isn't lying around as a cash in a bank account but rather as an Assets.

For example, almost all of Jeff Bezos's networth comes from the value of Amazon's shares he hold But can't he sell these to get money for donating ?

Well, he hold the 10.3% of all the Amazon shares in the market 

So even if he sell the fraction of these, the Amazon stock price would plummet due to the huge selling volume.

This would erase billions in shareholders Wealth, and most likely hundred of thousand of Amazon's employees would be laid off.

This is true for most of the billionaires.

Their wealth is tied to the stocks they own, and selling these stocks Would do more harm then good.

This doesn't mean that rich shouldn't pursue philanthropic endeavors.

Just the total eradication of the global issues can't be achieved simple through charity.
